- Exercise Regularly
The first and the foremost is to lose weight and increase insulin sensitivity.Exercise also helps your muscles use blood sugar for energy and muscle contraction. A half an hour walk will reduce your risk of diabetes by one third. So, put on your shoes and start running.
• Eat nuts
Nuts are full of fats, protein and a range of vitamins and minerals that helps to lower cholesterol, insulin and inflammation levels. A person must eat 50 grams of almonds, cashew, walnuts or pistachios daily to control body fats and sugars.
• Take a balanced diet with complex carbs
Maintaining a balanced diet is very important for a healthy lifestyle. Eating a variety of vegetables and fruits and good sources of fat can control blood sugar levels. One must avoid processed food and foods with high sugar.
