Recipe: Chocolate Protein Power BarsByfitnessroar-Feb092018
Don’t we all love our breakfast to be swapped with a chocolate? While in an unhealthy world it might be perfect, for fitness lovers this can be dangerous. But as a working and gym loving parent I want my breakfast quickly and sometimes the daily grind of eggs gets difficult. So to celebrate those days and well chocolate day today, here is my favourite chocolate protein power bars:
You will need:
1 cup instant oats
4 tablespoons of chocolate whey protein powder
1 cup peanut butter (chunky works better)
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons of seed mix
A pinch of salt, nutmeg and cinnamon
½ cup of skimmed milk
Mix the milk, peanut butter, and honey and microwave for 10 seconds. Stir and microwave for another 10 seconds, repeat another time till they blend together.
Add all the remaining ingredients.
Line a greased plate and spread the mixture evenly. You can add some dark chocolate chips for extra flavor.
Freeze for half an hour. Cut into bars and store!
PS Store them in an air-tight container in your fridge for up to a week.
