Covid-19 is Airbrone: Ways to Stay Safe

Seems like our worst nightmare is about to get true. A few days back some scientists from around the globe made a revelation that Covid-19 can also be airborne and now WHO has acknowledged the fact that there is “evidence emerging” of Covid-19 being an airborne disease.

Maria Van Kerkhove, technical lead on the COVID-19 pandemic at the WHO said: “We have been talking about the possibility of airborne transmission and aerosol transmission as one of the modes of transmission of COVID-19,”.

Well, all of this means that we have to be more careful while stepping out now. Because it is no longer just about touching an infected surface because the virus can be in the air that we breathe.

So, here is a list of precautions that we need to take to stay safe:

Its been a while that we are wearing masks now, but we need to understand that mask is a necessity now. We need to wear masks whenever we head out so that we don’t inhale the virus. This is the best and important way to prevent coronavirus.

  • Social distancing is mandatory

With the use of masks, it is important to maintain physical distance as well. Airborne viruses are less than 5 microns. Even if someone infected is breathing next to you and you inhale the same air so keep a distance.

  • Face shields are important

If you are going out in a crowded place face shields are the best option to ensure that you keep your hand off your face and is a good way to stay away from an airborne disease.

  • No air conditioning

Going to places that have air conditioning and no ventilation is a bad idea. So avoid going to the mall or your favorite restaurant for some time now.

  • Washing hands

Well, taking some basic precautionary measures like washing hands and using sanitizer is still important.
