Most of us pay attention to keeping our hands neat and clean as many germs can enter our system through it but did you know that taking care of your nails is just as important? Not only should you pay attention to hygiene but you should also keep an eye on the color of your nails and how they are growing.

Your nails can tell a lot about your health and many doctors even check them to understand what might be going on inside your body.  Now that you know about the importance of it so here is how your nail health indicates  possible health conditions:

White nails

The normal color is usually pinkish white but if your nails appear to be completely white then it might be an indication of a liver problem.

Red nails

if your nails are unusually red then it might indicate a heart problem. If it doesn’t get better, you should definitely get yourself checked soon.

Dark stripes

If you see the formation of dark ventricular stripes on your nails then it might be an indication of Subungal Melanoma which is a form of cancer.

Thick nail bed

If you have been observing that your nail bed is growing thicker then it may be a fungal infection.

Detached nail bed

If your nails have started to fall off your nail bed and it has been happening continuously then it may mean that your hormonal balance is disturbed.
