It it is important that the food you eat is not only tasty but healthy too. Most of us try to eat healthy and avoid junk to stay fit and active but there are few food items which when combined together can be harmful for your body. They can lead to gastric issues, nausea , vomiting and other problems so here are some deadly food combinations to avoid while you are planning your meals.
Milk and banana
It is a favorite comfort food but both the items eaten together are very harmful. They stimulate toxin production in the body and can make the kid feel sluggish. A banana smoothie is not at all a good thing.
White bread and jam
It is probably the best breakfast option for kids but this combination is dangerous because it leads to a sudden spike in blood sugar level. It creates two effects, one a kid might feel very tired when the sugar level is high and second is they have to cope with a sudden burst of sugar in the bloodstream which causes unwanted stress for the body.
Tomatoes and cheese
Always keep in mind the tomatoes are an acidic fruit and combining them with starch is harmful. This combination can cause gas, bloating and other digestion problems.
Liquid with meals
Many children have a habit of drinking water with meals but as a parent, you must stop them from doing it. Drinking water or liquid with a meal dilutes the stomach acids and reduces their effectiveness in breaking down fats and carbohydrates. So let them drink water before the meal, but now with the meal.
Yogurt with fruits
Yogurt contains a large number of bacteria which will act on the sugar present in fruits. This can result in toxins, cold and allergies. You can avoid this problem by giving them flavored yogurt.
Muffins and Juice
This is another common breakfast combination that will leave you feeling tired soon after. This meal trades the protein and fiber you need to start your day for excess carbohydrates, which will kick your blood sugar.
Lemons and Cough Syrup
Lemons can block the enzymes that are required to break down statins and other drugs, including the cough suppressant dextromethorphan. If not broken down, the medicine can build up in the bloodstream, causing various side effects.
