During the lockdown, constipation is a common problem that people are facing. This indigestion condition can cause discomfort, stomach pain, and abdominal bloating. Less physical activity, sitting for too long, not drinking sufficient water, and not eating fibre rich food can be responsible for constipation. So, here is the list of foods that you must avoid when you are constipated.

As dairy products are hard to digest, mainly because of lactose you must avoid them.

  • Fried foods

Eating a lot of fried foods can increase the constipation issue. They stay in your digestive tract for a long time causing you to feel bloated or full. Many of these foods are low in fiber and take longer to digest.

  • Chips

Snacks like potato chips cause delayed digestion, hence, you must avoid them when you experience any digestive issue.

  • Frozen meals

The frozen meal boxes are convenient but they have less nutritional value. They are low in fiber and often high in fat. Try not to consume them when you have difficulty pooping.

  • White Flour

White flour is a highly refined substance that has most of its gut-healthy fiber stripped away. It has no nutritional value and is also hard to digest. To help ease the constipation problem avoid foods containing white flour-like bread, burgers bun, rolls, or pizza dough.
