Tooth sensitivity is a condition many of us suffer from.Even toothbrushes, cavity, acidic food, sweet food and dental work can cause sensitivity. Though preventing this condition is quite difficult but you can surely treat it by following these home remedies

•    Saltwater rinse

Salt consists of anti-bacterial properties and therefore rinsing your mouth with salt in lukewarm water kills the bacteria which relieves sensitivity in teeth. It is also known to heal toothache and sore gums.

•    Garlic

As garlic contains anti-bacterial and natural anesthetic properties it reduces tooth sensitivity and toothache. Crush one clove of garlic and mix it with few drops of water and salt. Apply it and leave it for some time then rinse your mouth.

•    Oil pulling

This can be done with coconut or sesame oil. The anti-inflammatory properties of oil help in reducing the pain in your tooth. Take one tablespoon of coconut oil, swirl the oil around your mouth for 15 minutes, spit the oil and brush your teeth.

•    Hydrogen peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is a mild antiseptic and disinfectant. Its anti-bacterial properties help in killing germs that cause cavities and other oral issues. Add 3 percent (two caps) of hydrogen peroxide to equal parts of warm water, swish the solution in your mouth then spit it out and then rinse your mouth with water.

•    Guava leaves

Guava leaves consist of flavonoids such as quercetin and rutin that have anti-inflammatory properties which help in relieving tooth sensitivity. Take some guava leaves, wash them and chew them for 2-3 minutes and then spit it out.
