Currently, India is in the third phase of the vaccination, but still, people are hesitating because of the side effects. But as per experts, there is nothing to be worried about, these are just mild symptoms like fever and headache. To clear more on the side effects of the vaccine, the Ministry has rolled out some steps to monitor and report the side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine. Check out the steps below:
- Before getting vaccinated, you must consider if you ever had a severe allergic reaction to a vaccine. If yes then you must talk to your doctor before getting vaccinated.
- Health or medical conditions listed as precautions by the vaccine manufacturer or the local immunization program should be assessed. The conditions might include pregnancy, compromised immune system and severe frailty among older people. People with these conditions are eligible to take the vaccine dose but they should consult a doctor first.
- A person must know the common side effects of the vaccination. These include arm soreness, mild fever, headaches, tiredness, and muscle or joint ache.
- After getting vaccinated, the person should be observed for 15 to 30 minutes.
- The vaccinated person should inform their supervisor immediately of any unexpected or severe reactions.
- You might experience side effects for 4-5 days, so there is nothing to worry about. But in case of severe reactions visit a doctor immediately.
