Cutting out fats from your diet isn’t just a difficult task but it is fruitless also. If consumed in moderation it is actually good for the body and has its own benefits. Though bad fats like fried foods, should be limited but great healthy fats, like those in avocados or oily fish, are awesome for fueling the body. So here is the list of things that happens to your body when you cut off fats:

We need fats for energy hence, cutting down on them might make you feel fatigued or tired too easily. Consuming good fats in moderation can make sure that your energy levels are maintained. So cutting down much-needed fats from your body might slow down your metabolism.

  • Major cravings

If you cut out fats for a great amount of time, you might notice you are not satisfied after meals. You might begin to have cravings throughout the day. If you feel this way then add some fats with meals.

  • Vitamin deficiency

There are various vitamins that require fat in order to get absorbed and benefit us. These include vitamins A, D, E, and K–all of which are fat-soluble. So when you remove fat from our diet, you are also reducing your ability to absorb these vitamins which are necessary and affect multiple bodily functions.

  • Cholesterol levels might increase

If you cut off good fats from your diet you might experience higher cholesterol levels.

  • Focus and memory problems

Fats play a role in you having a sharp memory and a focused mind which is why people always ask to consume fish to increase memory as it is rich in fats. So cutting out fats from your body could mean that your mental health might get affected.

  • You might eat more carbs

By reducing the intake of your dietary fats, you are likely to overtake calories from sources of carbohydrates and this excess intake can affect your health and fitness goals.
