So, what’s the difference between you and an active smoker? When a person near you inhales a cigarette the maximum smoke does not go inside his lungs, it enters in the air which you breathe. Effects of Passive Smoking:

1. It can cause respiratory infections like pneumonia and bronchitis.
2. Children who stay at home where people smoke; they are more prone to getting cold and cough.

5. School children who smoke face difficulty in breathing.
How to prevent Passive Smoking?
1. Don’t let anyone smoke in your car and home.
2. Try to take your children at no smoking areas.
3. Try to make your close ones quit smoking.
4. Do not stand around people who are smoking.
5. If your partner smokes make it a rule to send him out to smoke.
6. Make sure that if you keep any caretaker for your children, he should be a non smoker.
