Child’s Pose (Balasana)
This pose is the best to calm the body. It’s resting position can be held for around 30 seconds which goes up to several minutes. Child pose is also good for stretching your hips, ankles, thighs, and shoulders and relieves back and neck pain.
Legs-Up-The-Wall Pose (Viparita Karani)
The pose helps drain lymphatic fluids from the lower part of the body into the abdomen. These fluids are the reason for tired knees, swollen ankles and congested pelvic organs. Doing this you can soothe menstrual cramps, increase energy and relieve lower back pain.
(Crocodile Pose) Makarasana
It can be practised empty stomach, preferably in the morning. It relaxes your shoulders and back. Doing it you are also relieved from all the tight knots in the body.
Bound Angle Pose (Supta Baddha Konasana)
The bound angle pose provides relief from insomnia and anxiety. It also increases blood circulation in the abdominal region and calms the mind. Keep a bolster under your lower back, a folded blanket beneath your head, and something to cover your eyes when doing it.
Corpse Pose (Savasana)
Though this pose seems easy as one needs to just lie down for it but it’s the most challenging one because lying down for long is not easy. It is known for calming the body and mind reduces headaches, insomnia etc.
Forward Bend Pose
The forward bend pose helps to ease headaches, relieve insomnia and reduces stress, anxiety and fatigue by calming the brain. It is recommended to those who work on the desk all day as it does wonders for the lower back. It also stimulates the liver and kidneys, improves digestion, helps relieve menopause symptoms, and stretches the hips and calves.
