With the gyms being closed, there aren’t many options available for people looking to maintain their muscle mass during this lockdown. Most of us don’t have  weights at home and doesn’t even want to invest in it but there many household items that you can easily use for your weight training. Here is a list.

Bags of flour

Many of us have huge bags of flour at home. You can easily use them to train your arms, shoulders, and legs.

Jug of water

This gives you the flexibility to increase the weight as per your comfort. You can use it to train your back, legs, and hamstrings.

Suitcase

Pick a suitcase of your preferred size and fill it up with things like books, objects, and other heavy stuff. This will easily add a lot of weight to your suitcase and you can use it to do heavy lifting at home.

Schoolbag

Almost everyone has a bag at home so fill it up with a number of books and add this weight to your squats for an effective workout.

Bag of rice

Heavy back of rice can help you train your lower back, hamstrings, and even shoulders.

A towel

A towel can do more than just mop up your post workout sweat: Just pull it taught between your hands for a DIY resistance band.

Here are some household items you can get creative with during your workout. Make sure you use these weights under someone’s supervision if you are new to weight training.
