Quarantine has changed up the routine of almost everyone. It is hard to stay active when your movement has been restricted as many people are dependent on outdoor activities to keep themselves fit. Since there is nothing much we can do to change the current situation, we sure can make adjustments to keep ourselves active and healthy.
Here are some activities that you can do to keep yourself active at home.
Cleaning and mopping
To make sure you are moving throughout the day and to make the best use of your movement, take up cleaning and moping. Bending, stretching and moving while cleaning up the house will keep you active.
Play with children
If you have toddlers or young children at home, spending some time and playing with them is a good way to keep yourself active. This will also give you a break from sitting in one place.
Practice Yoga
It is likely that you don’t have any equipment or weights at home but that shouldn’t keep you away from exercising in some way. Performing yoga does not take up too much space and you can easily do it at home. It will keep you calm and composed as well.
HIIT workout routines
These routines consist of floor exercises which are easy to follow and since they are short, it will not take much of your precious time if you are working from home.
Stretch every few hours
Sitting in one place every day can cause muscle cramps so get up every few hours and stretch them out.
Follow a Routine
Though a bit difficult but try to follow a regular sleep pattern. Prefer sleeping on time and waking up early.
Eat Healthy
Food is an important aspect in Indian household but avoid eating junk everyday and stick to healthy options like vegetables, pulses, curd on regular basis.
