It is important to stay safe while exercising, especially when you have just started strength training. It will not only give your body time to adjust to a certain intensity but also reduces the risk of injury. The best way to make sure you ease into strength training is by taking things slow and picking the exercises that are relatively safer for you in the beginning.
There are a few muscle building exercises that you should avoid doing in the beginning or if you are completely new to strength training. Here is the list of exercises that you must avoid in the first few weeks of your training.
Weighted-squats
Barbell deadlifts
Burpees
Leg Presses
Ab-focused Exercises
Box Jumps
Shoulder Press with Weights
These are some exercises that you should avoid in beginning. These aren’t necessarily bad for you but require a certain level of training to perfect your form, hip rotation, and stance. Focus on doing the exercise with correct form and add weights for resistance eventually. For burpees, start with practicing jumping jacks and push-ups initially.
Make sure to perform all exercises under the supervision of a trainer to prevent any injury.
