With Covid-19 restricting our movements most of us are working from home. The current situation of lockdown will be staying for a couple of months with no physical activity and binge eating which will have consequences on health. In Indian families food is a part of family get together and with everyone together we all are trying different recipes which makes maintaining  your diet a difficult task. One of the great challenges of working from home is keeping a check on your nutrition as while staying at home there is easy access to food and snacks. So, here are some nutrition tips to keep your diet in check:

Keep a track of how much caffeine you are consuming and drinking too much of it can affect your sleep cycle. It can also cause digestive issues like acidity and gas, headaches, and anxiety. Try to take only 2 cups of coffee daily and avoid excess sugar.

  • Hydrate yourself

When we are home, we often forget to sip on water. So, do not forget to drink 8-12 glasses of water daily. This can also be a way to curb your hunger because most of us confuse thirst with hunger. Dehydration can lead to fatigue and affect your productivity. So keep a check on your water intake.

  • Plan your meals

As we are currently not following our normal schedule, it is important not to skip any meals. Breakfast is still the most important meal, so keep it healthy. Plan all the other meals as well. Look after your hunger signs because not eating can affect your work. Just look after your timings.

  • Don’t eat at your workplace

You might feel like working and eating in your lunch break while working from home. But don’t do it as it can lead to distractions and overeating as well. So get up and enjoy your meal properly. Have a balanced meal and avoid excess eating.

  • Keep your desk clean

By with we mean do not keep trigger foods such as chips, chocolates that tempt you to over snack on your desk. In-office, you might stop at eating just a few chips, but when you are working from home you end up finishing the entire packet. Stock up some healthy snacks like fruits, dry fruits, healthy fats, etc.
