Period Hacks: How to Feel Better on Your Period

Menstruation is one of the most important processes of a woman’s body and it deserves utmost caution and self-care. Wrong- menstruation or period habits can lead to terrible and uncomfortable experiences.  We tell you some practices that you should follow to have a healthy and happy period cycle. Check out the list below: 

  • Change your sanitary napkin every 4-6 hours
  •  Washing your vagina regularly is very important, as organisms cling to your body after you have removed your sanitary napkin.

  • While using vaginal hygiene products every day is a good idea, using them during menses is not great. Wash with just clean water. 
  • Take proper 8-9 hours of sleep when you are on periods to improve your overall health. 

  • Eat right, include green, leafy veggies, fresh fruits, nuts, and whole grains in your diet. 
  • Meditate or practice yoga to manage stress. 
  • There are so many options for sanitary products, choose the one that is best for you.  You can even opt for tampons or menstrual cups.

 

  • Stay hydrated as it will ease the pain 

  • You might feel like skipping a workout, but keep stretching and exercising. When you work out, the body will release more endorphins, which will improve your mood and impact your perception of pain.
