For people who have been putting in the efforts and acing their fitness goals, it is only natural to want them to aim for more. We all have fitness goals that we begin with and wish to improve the performance with each passing day. If you too have been working out for longs then here are a few milestones you can look forward to achieving.
- Aim for an unassisted pull-up. The upper body strength you have built over time will make it easier for you to do that. You can start with assisted pull-ups and eventually learn to do it without support.
- Train more using free weights and less using machines. It is not about better or worse choice, machines are relatively easier to exercise with and once you have more control over your movement, you can move towards free weights.
- Focus on your body fat percentage. If you have lost the weight you were aiming for, pay attention to your body fat percentage and work on that if required.
- Remove the assistance from a few of your exercises. For example, if you have been doing knee-supported push-ups, do it without support.
- Increase the duration of your workout. This can also be done by focusing more on a muscle group of your choice. Increase the duration of holding a perfectly horizontal plank.
- Aim for good recovery post-workout. It is great to train intensely but make sure you are giving your body the rest it needs to recover from such training.
- Without proper diet nothing would be possible so switch to a healthy lifestyle and eating habit rather than following a strict diet.
- Make friends and help other people who are on their fitness journey. This will keep you motivated.
Here are some new goals to smash. Which ones will you be adding to your list?
