Workouts You Can Do With Your Dog

Why work out alone when you have a furry friend, dogs make great workout partners. They help keep a positive attitude and make the workout fun. The best part is if you are working out at home because of the pandemic, your dog can be your best workout buddy. So here are some exercises that you can do with your furry friend:

  • Hide and seek squat

To do this you need to stand in front of your dog with your feet wider than hip-width apart, toes slightly turned out, and hold his favorite treat up with your right hand. Then push your hips back to squat down and pass the treat under your left leg. Quickly stand back up and hold the treat up with your left hand. Repeat 10 reps in total.

  • Puppy jump up jacks

Crouch down on the floor in front of your pup, holding the toy or treat with both hands. Quickly jump up and jack your feet apart. This one is similar to jumping jacks.

  • Doggo Standard Curl

This is a version of a classic bicep exercise with your furry friend. Watch the video to do it correctly.

    • Dog yoga

  • The Doggy Wall Sit

For a small dog, position your back against the wall and lower yourself so your knees are at a 90 degree angle from the floor and above your heels. Then hold your small dog for a little added weight.

  • Trail run
