Natural ways to get rid of acne problems

Acne is a common skin condition that occurs when the pores on the skin get clogged. The dirt that causes the clogging gets infected and leads to acne. According to studies people who have acne problem may have a bigger chance of getting depression disorders and about 10% of female acne patients suffer from depression.

Before they develop into a problem in your life it is very important to eliminate them. Your diet can help you in treating your skin conditions, here is what you should eat to avoid acne:

  • Add Zinc in your diet

Zinc has anti-inflammatory properties and prevents acne-causing bacteria. Try to eat foods that have a high level of Zinc mineral like kidney beans, red meat and pumpkin seeds etc.

  • Subtract iodine from your diet

Acne is a result of excessive intake of iodine. Do not cut down iodine completely but reduce its intake in your diet, this will be very beneficial for your skin.

  • Eat Omega-3 fatty acids

Eat foods that are a great source of omega-3 fatty acid, like chia seeds, flax seeds, and fish. Omega-3 acids are very helpful to clear up acne as they have anti-inflammatory properties.

  • Avoid foods that have high glycemic index

Several types of research have shown that a low glycemic diet may help you to eliminate acne completely.  Try not to consume refined grains, sugar, corn syrup, white flour and sugar in your diet. Keep a track on your blood sugar levels as well and include fruits and vegetables in your diet.

Increasing your water intake is a great way to flush out all the internal toxins and hydrate your skin.  Water boosts  the blood flow throughout the body and skin.

  • Probiotics

They help in boosting your immune system and improve digestion. So go high on yogurt, buttermilk to protect your skin.

  •  Green tea

It helps to  out the toxins and keep your skin clear so try having at least two cups of green tea in a day.
