How to Use a Pumice Stone and Get Baby Soft Feet

What is Pumice stone?

The pumice stone is a type of volcanic rock that is formed from cooling magma.  These cosmetic rocks are made from magma that is frothy, full of gases, and cooled rapidly.  The gases form the little holes that we see in the pumice stones. 

Benefits of using a Pumice stone for skincare?

Pumice is best known as a natural exfoliating ingredient for cosmetics. This cosmetic herb can be included in all kinds of recipes to add some exfoliating properties. This cosmetic ingredient works well and can get your skin feeling it’s absolute best.

How to use it:

  • Fill a bowl with hot water and dip your feet in it. Keep your feet immersed in water for at least 10 to 15 minutes. This will help in removing dirt and dead skin. You can also add shampoo and drops of baby oil to the water. 
  • Soak the pumice stone in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes before you start using it.
  • Now, rub the calloused areas of your feet with a pumice stone. Massage it for 2-3 minutes using light pressure
  • Once you feel your feet are smooth and soft, you’re done.

One of the most important things to remember about a pumice stone is to clean it after every use. A simple rinse with soap and water can ensure bacteria and fungus won’t grow inside the stone’s pores. Let the stone dry completely before storing.
