My take on Using Heat Patches for Period Cramps

Period cramps are the reason we feel annoyed and irritated during those days. While most women prefer eating painkillers to ease the pain few like me don’t believe in taking pills. I prefer to stick to the basis and the latest are heat patches which I tried and trust me they weren’t a bad idea.

What are heating patches?

They are self-heating pain-relieving patches, the heat is regulated so that your skin stays safe. These patches can heat the abdomen for around eight hours, but when I wore them I don’t think the heat really lasted for more than five hours.

The patches are made of natural ingredients and are comfy to wear. They are biodegradable and have iron, salt, activated charcoal, clay, and are also water-absorbent.

How to use them:

  1. Take out the patch from the packet and peel it to reveal the sticky strip.
  2.  Now, stick this patch either on the inner or outer side of your undies.

Tips: Do not stick them directly to your skin

Keep an eye on the watch, don’t use them for more than eight hours.
Discard them after use

My experience:

Being someone who deals with painful period cramps, these cramp relieving patches worked great for me. The best thing is, you can stick them to your lower abdomen and do things on the go. Heating is one of the best ways to relax your muscles, and of course, carrying a heating bag everywhere is not possible. So, these patches are a great option.

There are many brands that offer these patches, I used the ones from Nua.
