Study Reveals: Erectile Dysfunction also effects Productivity at Work

There are many males who due to some or other reason face problem of erectile dysfunction. It is not something to be ashamed of and needs a proper treatment as it happens when you are unable to maintain an erection over a period of at least three repeated months. 

No doubt you all might have heard that this inability makes a man under confident and also results in stress and problems in relationship but, do you know it also affects our work?

 According to a recent study, erectile dysfunction may also be associated with less productivity at work and poor quality of life, health wise.

The survey was conducted on more than 52,000 men aged between 40 to70. As per the data from their reports researchers evaluated the difficulties they faced in achieving or maintaining an erection over a period of six months.

Men with erectile dysfunction were found to have higher absenteeism from work along with lower productivity and were also found less active outside of work.

Some other experts also revealed that  common physical causes of erectile dysfunction include heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, high cholesterol, clogged blood vessels, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, certain prescription medications, tobacco use, cancer treatments, surgeries and sleep disorders.

Apart from all this, being overweight, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption and other sedentary lifestyle habits also lead to erectile dysfunction. Thus, it’s really important to maintain a healthy weight, eat healthy food, sleep properly and exercise regularly.

The first thing you must do in this problem is consult a doctor without hesitation and know the reason behind it. After knowing the cause get the right treatment and also put in efforts to reduce stress, anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns that are making it difficult to get an erection.
