At some point in our life, all of us think to move towards a healthy lifestyle which includes changing our eating habits. People these days are ditching meat and replacing it with plant-based substitutes of it. People are turning vegetarian now and it becomes difficult when we crave something like meat. Looking for a great substitute for chicken, beef, or pork, tofu will be best for you. Tofu has been a staple of Asian cuisine for ages, but most people think of tofu when they hear the words “vegetarian” and “vegan. Tofu can be firm and chewy as meat. You can also make delicious dishes with it.

Mushrooms make delicious alternatives for meat. The soft and mushy texture of mushrooms are perfect and will remind you of meat. They are rich in proteins, selenium, and vitamin D so they make a healthy and delicious meat substitutes. 

  • Eggplant 

One more amazing substitute for meat is eggplant. The different taste of this veggie makes it a great option for vegan meat lovers. You can make delicious dishes with this veggie. It’s healthy as it is loaded with nutrients like vitamin K, potassium, fiber, folate, protein, etc.

  • Jackfruit
