Ways to Make Natural Hair Color at Home

Many people often go to the salon to get their hair colored, but since the pandemic is still going on, visiting a salon is not safe. But don’t worry, as now you can easily dye your hair at home by making a chemical-free color. We tell you some ways to make natural hair color at home using only a few ingredients. Check it out below:

Beetroot juice 

If you want a deeper red tint with cooler undertones, then dye your hair using beetroot juice. Check out the steps of using beetroot juice for color:

  • Take out beetroot juice at home
  • Mix beet juice with a carrier oil.
  • Apply the mixture liberally to your hair, and then wrap your hair.
  • Let the mixture sit for at least an hour before washing it out.

Coffee dye 

Want brown hair dye? Try a DIY coffee hair dye. This is a great homemade hair dye to cover grey hair. Coffee works great if you want darker hair. It also covers gray hairs and adds dimension to dark tresses.

  • Mix coffee in water and let it boil until it is reduced to one-third of the original amount.
  • Add 2 tbsp. of coffee grounds and 1 cup of leave-in hair conditioner.
  • Shampoo your hair as usual and give one last rinse with this mixture. 

Carrot Dye 

If you want reddish-orange tint hair then try carrot dye. 

  • Mix carrot juice with coconut oil or any other oil that you use for your hair.
  • Apply this mixture to your hair. Cover it with a shower cap and wash it after one hour.

Sage dye 

This dye works best for darker hair shades as this might improve your natural brunette hair while covering the greys as well. 

Method:

  • Boil dried sage in water for approx half an hour.
  •  Cool the mixture and strain.
  • Give a last rinse with the mixture after you shampoo and condition your hair.
  • Let it stay for 15 minutes or more and then wash. 

Lemon Juice 

Looking for a few highlights? Try doing it with fresh lemon. 

Method:

  • Pour lemon juice into a spray bottle.
  • Spray the juice onto your hair.
  • Then use a comb to spread the juice evenly through your hair
  • Sit outside in the sun for best results.
  • Leave the lemon juice for some time and then wash it out.
