Ghee is one of India’s most treasured foods and is popular for its healing properties and health benefits. Made from milk, it contains omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin A, butyric acid, and healthy fats that benefit your overall health. When you ask your grandmother or mother about home remedies, she will have a long list of basic ingredients found in the kitchen and one of them is ghee. This superfood can be used in many home remedies.  

  • Home remedy for clogged nose

A clogged nose is very annoying and causes many difficulties as well. One of the best ways to unclog your nose is to pour a few drops of warm puree desi ghee into the nostrils. Do this first thing in the morning for instant relief. 

  • For weight loss

Add a spoonful of organic cow ghee in your existing diet plan. The presence of Omega-3 and 6 acids and amino acids in organic grass-fed ghee helps in weight loss. It makes the fat cells shrink in size.

  •  Remedy for hair care

Ghee makes a superb hair conditioner for dry and frizzy hair as it is loaded with fatty acids and antioxidants. Mix two tablespoons of ghee and one tablespoon of olive oil and apply to your hair. Wash after 20 minutes and see the results. 

  • Dry lips 

Suffering from dry or chapped lips? Well, a little warm ghee is something that you need. Apply it on your lips before going to sleep. After waking up you will see flakes on your lips, scrub them and see the results yourself. Your lips will be soft and supple. Always remember only warm ghee will work for dry lips .

  • Skincare

Ghee is an important part of some beauty care rituals as its fatty acids provide nourishment to the skin. It is suitable for every skin type. Add 2-3 tablespoons of gram flour, half a tablespoon of turmeric powder, half a tablespoon of pure desi cow ghee, and slowly pour milk or water until it becomes a paste. Apply this pack on your face and leave for 20 minutes.  Rinse it off with cold water and repeat the process twice a week for effective results.
