Things you should never say to a covid positive person

Whenever we hear that someone is unwell, we tend to drop them a get-well-soon message to check upon them. But while doing this with someone covid positive we need to be careful.  A COVID-positive patient is already going through a lot, and the last thing they want are conversations that don’t make them feel better. So here are few things that you should never say to a covid positive person:

    • “How did you get infected?”
    • “You should have been more careful.”

    • “Why didn’t you tell me you got COVID?”
    • “How are you feeling now”?
    • “I think you should get hospitalized,”

    • You don’t seem very ill
    • It’s good you’ve got it over and done with
    • You are lucky you’ve got the antibodies now
    • “Take good rest”

  • “Do some home remedies as well”
  • “You should’ve get tested before”

Instead, things that you should say:

    • Have a light-hearted conversation, talk about how they feel
    • Keep checking on them
    • Ask them if they need any help
    • Just a small “get well soon” text

  • Tell them they can call you whenever you need them
  • Do something special for them like social media posts, send them homemade food, or a greeting.
