Tik-Tok Workouts: All About 12-3-30 Workout

12-3-30 workout routine

Many people have a love-hate relationship with the treadmill at the gym but someone on Tik-Tok has found a way to make this equipment work for them. This made many people look at treadmill workouts from a different perspective and this routine has been named   12-3-30 workout.

Fitness experts recommend moving for at least 30 minutes a day and this Tik-Tok workout has made it easier for beginners to get started by using just a treadmill. 12-3-30 workout basically is setting the incline level to 12, walking speed to 3 and walk for 30 minutes. Lauren Giraldo introduced this workout and people have started to love it. But before you decide to try it out for yourself, here is what you should know about it.

As mentioned before, moving your body for at least 30 minutes a day is recommended and if you don’t want to run, hop or enjoy any other cardio workout, this routine is challenging yet easy enough so it fits the criteria just perfectly.

It keeps blood pressure in control, improves cardiovascular health and even improves balance coordination. It may seem like a modification of brisk walk but it definitely takes a decent amount of effort to complete this routine.

Disadvantages

Though it is a considerable option to get in some movement, following this routine throughout the week can have a long-lasting impact on your lower back. It also puts pressure on calves which is not recommended to be done on daily basis. This routine also requires a certain level of fitness so if you are comparatively less active, it is best to warm up before following this routine.

Like any other fitness routine, the 12-3-30 workout routine also carries a risk of injury if not done keeping safety tips in mind. If you are new to this, experts recommend taking it slow and give your body time to recover from soreness.
